Overview 

We are a marketing agency in the UK, providing a fast track for sellers on Amazon, eBay, Onbuy & Wayfair helping them avoid the initial pitfalls when starting out. We work with brands to help streamline, manage, and optimize their product sales across their marketplaces. As marketplace experts, we also help mitigate risk-avoiding potential costly mistakes when dealing with marketplaces; we’ve “been there; done that” and our clients benefit from this experience. We customise optimization packages with each client ensuring you have a solution that meets all of your individual needs. 

We need a Senior Data Analyst to help create data-backed insights that will drive sales growth within our business and client accounts, to support the management team and Key Account Managers. You will also be responsible for managing other team members within the Data and Insights team.  

Who are we looking for? 

You’re the sort of person who’s happy to get stuck into the detail and works calmly under pressure. You’ll be good at problem-solving, highly organised and have experience of following processes. You’ll be part of a team but it’s more important that you feel comfortable working independently. You’re good at ‘just getting on with things and love business data! 

Key role responsibilities:

Data processing:  

  1. Consolidation of data across different sources (e.g., external market research, client’s retail sales performance, advertising campaign data) 
  1. Comfortable with basic manipulation and reconciliation of data from various sources  

Market analysis:  

  1. Conduct market and competitor research and draw insights and recommendations for clients 

Data reporting and analysis:   

  1. Define key metrics and KPIs  
  1. Develop insights and recommendations based on data 
  1. Develop excel-based dashboards for client reporting on key metrics and KPIs  
  1. Build client-ready presentations  
  • Manage transition from Excel based weekly sales reports to an automated solution. 
  • Use historical data and market trends to produce accurate client and business forecasts.
  • Will use business data (tmetric) to recommend areas for change, improvement, or automation to maximise efficiency.
  • Use business data to assess client profitability and make suggestions for pricing packages accordingly to maximise Revenue.  
  • Keep up to date on industry-wide trends related to the business. Identify opportunities for expansion 
  • Ad hoc internal or client consultancy eg creation of one off reports/ dashboards  
  • Support Operations Manager with resource planning activity and solutions to meet other business objectives 
  • Manage workload and performance of Data & Insight team members 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business/economics, operations research, Maths, or related discipline. 
  • Advanced Excel certification 
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as an Analyst role preferred. 
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications. 
  • SQL Knowledge and Hands-on experience is preferred, not essential 
  • Demonstrated Analytical ability, results-oriented environment with external customer interaction. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills and the ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly. 

What we are looking for:

  • Ecommerce experience is advantageous 
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills 
  • Self-starter and self-motivated individual 
  • Being able to work in a small and fast-paced environment 
  • Highly organised and able to multitask without any loss of output or focus 
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Eager and able to learn new systems and processes quickly
