How To Stand Out On Amazon With A+ Brand Content

What is A+ Content?

The A+ Content feature allows sellers to make changes and create a unique story that represents their brand. It sits below the product listing and replaces the product description section. Within the feature, you can include enhanced images, banners, bullets of text and comparison charts.

Originally Amazon had A+ Content which was available in Vendor Central and Enhanced Brand Content which was available in Seller Central. Amazon then merged the two and they became A+ Content which is now accessible on both platforms.

What are the Benefits of A+?

According to Amazon, ‘A+ Content can increase sales anywhere from 3 to 10%’. This is due to consumers being more educated about your product and therefore feel more confident to purchase. Moreover, it gives you the opportunity to communicate your brand’s story to the customer and some insight into how your business developed.

It also allows you to differentiate your products and make a great first impression to stand out from your competitors.

You can more creative lifestyle imagery, close ups and banner graphics, so more eye-catching. These are very useful as they can help shoppers decide if they want to purchase the product. Some shoppers will scrutinize every photo, paragraph and review trying to make a decision, so A+ content benefits the shopper in their customer journey as they get to see the product from another perspective.

Comparison charts are a very useful feature to have within your A+ Content. The comparison charts allow you to cross-sell products within your brand by integrating ASIN links. This is so that the customer can click on a product in the chart and will be redirected to the correct product listing page. Also, it gives you the opportunity to show the differences between your merchandise and easily scan through the information.

What shouldn’t be included in A+?

There are some elements that will be rejected if they are included in your A+ Content.

Here are a few main things that shouldn’t be included:

  • Pricing or promotional information
  • Shipping detail information
  • Customer Reviews
  • Images containing watermarks or unreadable text – font size must be over 16
  • Blurry or low-quality images

Who can use A+ Content?

A+ Content is free of charge for sellers and vendors. Therefore, if you are a seller that has been approved as a brand owner through the Amazon Brand Registry program then you will be able to use this feature. You will be able to add A+ to any products that are a part of your approved brand catalogue.
